Groton Floor Hockey League UPDATE!!!!!!
It’s almost time, just a few more weeks before we head indoors for some pre-season pickup.  A lot of things are happening and happening fast. Registration is now open for the GFHL.  Follow this link https://register.parksreconline.com/wbwsc/groton.wsc/wbsearch.html?xxmod=AR&wbsi=a9a5b533-5f48-c29e-e311-383ba8a2bed5

, search hockey, and use this code 538504 - Hockey: Floor League when signing up. Goalies still play for free but must fill out the registration form. If you need a paper form to send in follow this link http://www.grotonrec.com/docs/registration.pdf

or I will have them during pre-season stick time. Registrations need to be submitted to Groton Parks and Rec. NLT  December 1st, 2013.   No registration - No playing , I will be getting updated lists from parks and rec.
We have 5 confirmed teams still waiting to hear from the 6th.
The returning teams are:
Royal Blue – Kirk Kellogg (Blue)
Shack – George White (Orange)
Bulldogs – Mike Smith (Black)
Marshall Law – Nick DeDominicis (Grey)
Team Kyle – Kyle Stone (color?)
The sixth team is the Desert Eagles, we have not heard a definite yea or nay from them, but we are working on it. Over the next week or so we will be repairing and painting the goals for the start of pre-season.

***All pre-season practice sessions are run as pick-up games.***

Players bring a light and dark shirt to make it easier when making teams. (sticks in the middle format will be used)
I recommend Hockey Gloves, athletic cup, eye protection, soccer shin pads and a hockey stick with a strip of white tape on bottom of blade.

For the winter league:
Team Captains please let me know what you and/or your teams plans are for the 2014 season so I can start looking at league schedules and get them posted. The season will start on January 5th, 2014.

Thank you and I am looking forward to this hockey season,
George
